Putting On Mass
I remember my very first workout. We had to do overhead squats and I was struggling to do them with just the barbell. But even though I struggled, I really enjoyed the challenge and the competition and I kept going to class, and slowly improving to where I am today.
And now, after getting to know everyone and being able to make some great friends, I enjoy it even more than I did when I first began. Now I’ve got my roommate, my sister, and her boyfriend at Base 10!
WHAT MUSIC DAY PUMPS YOU UP THE MOST IN THE GYM?
That would have to be Girl Power Monday. I’m a big Beyonce fan, so when her songs come on they never fail to get me going.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE TYPE OF WORKOUT?
I like the long workouts the best because I really like the strategy that’s involved in deciding how to tackle it and how to pace yourself through it. My ideal workout would have some running, kettlebell swings, pulls-ups and maybe throw in a barbell.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE GUILTY PLEASURE?
My guilty pleasure & favorite meal of all time is a big plate of cheese gravy fries from a chili parlor back home in Cincinnati.
